This next generation of kids are learning from home - often tumbling out of bed to settle down in a corner of their bedroom - with an overhead light, a string of cheap LED's and perhaps a desk lamp with a basic 30w LED that you found on the internet - or somewhere...

And yet, a growing body of research is demonstrating the damage caused by long hours of  screen time and bad lighting on the health and wellbeing of these precious growing brains. This can go from shorter attention spans, low mood and anti-social behaviour to full-blown depression and obesity. And that's without the harm caused by hours staring at a glowing screen on the growth of the developing eye - from early onset of myopia to atrophy of the delicate lattice of cells and tear ducts that keep the whole system hydrated and clean. And we only get one pair of eyes!  

Luckily, there are some incredibly simple yet highly effective things you can do right now to deal with those issues - many of them completely free.   As a concerned godmother and aunt, I am on a mission to share those with you so that all our young people's brains grow healthy and strong in this bright new digital age.
